A feature-packed week bringing vehicle photos throughout the interface, a completely redesigned onboarding experience, a streamlined add-tracker wizard, in-app announcements, faster search, bulk asset management, device trust and PIN security, and a migration path for DazzlePanel users.

Vehicle Photos

Default photos on cards and popups

You can now set a default photo for each vehicle that appears directly in the sidebar asset card and on the map popup. When you upload photos for an asset, the first vehicle-category photo is automatically selected as the default — or you can choose any photo by clicking the star icon in the Photos tab.

Photo categorisation

Photos can now be labelled with a category — Vehicle, Tracker Device, Installation, QR Scan, or General. Choose the category before uploading or taking a photo, and change it afterwards by clicking the category badge on any thumbnail. Photos are grouped by category in the gallery for easy browsing.

Display preference

A new toggle in Settings > Preferences lets you turn vehicle photos on or off. When enabled, default photos appear on asset cards and map popups. The setting syncs across all your devices automatically.

Redesigned Onboarding

Immersive full-page experience

The onboarding flow has been completely rebuilt as an immersive, full-page experience with seven guided steps. Each step features a dark cinematic aesthetic with product preview cards showing exactly what you will be setting up.

Improved steps

The new flow covers company information, home location, asset types, notification preferences, PIN setup, profile completion, and a celebration finish. Every step has been redesigned with premium Apple-style UI elements, clear guidance, and smooth transitions.

PWA and mobile support

The onboarding pages now scroll properly in PWA mode on mobile devices, and all screens are fully responsive. Authentication screens have also been updated with a mobile-friendly layout.

Add Tracker Wizard

Step-by-step guided flow

Adding a new tracker is now a clean wizard experience with distinct steps: scan or enter the IMEI, review tracker details (including FOTA ID and full model information), assign to an asset, upload photos, and confirm. The wizard includes inline validation, error recovery, and a done screen showing the asset details.

Photo capture during setup

You can now photograph the tracker and its installation right from within the add-tracker wizard. The camera overlay works reliably on both desktop and mobile, with proper handling of browser permissions and device capabilities.

Announcement Pill

In-app announcements

A new floating announcement pill appears at the bottom of the screen to highlight important updates — new features, tips, or prompts. Each announcement displays as a compact image-based banner that you can tap to learn more or dismiss.

Remote announcements

Announcements can now be managed remotely and targeted to specific accounts or user groups. The What's New modal and AI assistant nudge are integrated into the same system, keeping all notifications in a single, unified queue.

Search and Performance

All major list views — assets, users, alerts, public tracking links, and routes — now use server-side search with a debounced input and loading indicator. This means faster, more accurate results especially for accounts with hundreds of items.

Faster preference loading

User preferences (map settings, display toggles) now load as part of the initial data batch instead of making separate requests. Map type, marker style, traffic layer, and clustering preferences also sync across devices so your customisations follow you everywhere.

Asset Export and Import

Bulk CSV export

Export your entire asset list as a CSV file directly from the asset toolbar. The export includes all key fields — name, registration, type, status, group, and tracker assignment — formatted for easy editing in spreadsheets.

Import with diff review

Import updated or new assets from a CSV file with a visual diff review dialog that highlights exactly what will change before you confirm. The system validates fields, normalises data, and handles edge cases like Excel formatting artifacts.

Security Enhancements

Trusted devices

Your browser is now fingerprinted and tracked as a trusted device. View and manage your trusted devices in Settings > Security, including device name, last used date, and trust level. Unrecognised devices trigger an email notification so you know immediately if someone else accesses your account.

PIN re-authentication

For sensitive operations, a PIN re-authentication modal now appears instead of redirecting you to the login page. This keeps your workflow uninterrupted while maintaining security.

Alert Templates

Redesigned template browser

The alert configuration page now features a recommended alerts strip at the top with the most useful templates for your fleet, followed by a compact browse-all section. Temperature alert types have been corrected and aligned with the tracking server.

Branded Emails

Professional email templates

Six notification emails — account invitations, magic links, password resets, verification, and alerts — have been redesigned with branded Yipii templates. All emails now have a consistent, professional look that matches the platform.

DazzlePanel Migration

Seamless transition for existing users

DazzlePanel users can now migrate to Yipii via a dedicated magic-link flow. After clicking the migration link, users see a welcome screen explaining what has changed, set their new password, and land directly in the updated dashboard. Migration status is tracked and visible in the admin panel.

Additional Improvements

Mobile responsiveness

Significant improvements to mobile layout across the entire application — settings tabs now wrap instead of scroll, header buttons are more compact, sidebar tabs fit properly, the photo gallery and lightbox are mobile-friendly, and pagination stacks vertically on small screens.

Stability and reliability

Numerous fixes to improve day-to-day reliability: camera capture works consistently across browsers, Radix UI dialog interactions no longer cause crashes, error boundaries catch more edge cases, and the application recovers gracefully from temporary connection issues.
