How referral reward tiers work, what you earn at each level, and how rewards are paid out

Yipii IoT's referral programme rewards you more as you refer more. Every successful referral earns a reward, and the reward amount increases as you climb through four reward tiers. The system is designed to recognise and increasingly compensate your most active advocates.

Reward Tiers

You start at the Scout tier with zero wins. As your referred leads convert into paying customers, you progress through four tiers. Each tier increases the per-asset rate you earn on future conversions.

Every reward has a minimum floor of €30 — so even a small referral with a handful of assets earns you at least €30.

How Rewards Scale

Your reward is calculated as per-asset rate x number of assets the referred business signed up for, based on the new customer's subscription value. This means bigger referrals earn bigger rewards — a natural incentive to refer larger fleets.

Example calculations at Connector tier (€7.50/asset):

• 5-asset fleet: 5 x €7.50 = €37.50 (above the €30 minimum)
• 50-asset fleet: 50 x €7.50 = €375
• 200-asset fleet: 200 x €7.50 = €1,500

How Tiers Work

Your tier is determined by the total number of won referrals you have accumulated over your entire history with Yipii IoT. Tiers never expire and you never lose progress. Once you reach a tier, you stay there permanently — even if you stop referring for a while.

Tier upgrades apply immediately. The moment your third referral is marked as Won, you move from Scout to Connector. Your next reward (and all future rewards) use the Connector tier rates. Previous rewards are not retroactively upgraded.

Example progression:

1. You submit your first lead. They sign up with 30 assets. As a Scout, you earn 30 x €3.51 = €105.30.
2. You submit two more leads. Both convert. You now have 3 wins, moving you to Connector. Your third lead has 80 assets: 80 x €7.50 = €600.
3. You keep referring. At 7 total wins, you reach Champion (€10.25/asset). At 15, you become a Legend (€16.00/asset).

Tier Display

Your referral dashboard displays all four tiers as individual cards. Each card shows:

• The tier name and the per-asset EUR rate
• The number of wins required to reach that tier
• A "NOW" badge on your current tier so you always know where you stand

Below the tier cards, a progress message shows exactly how many more wins you need to reach the next level — for example, "2 more wins to Connector". At the Legend tier, the progress indicator confirms you have reached the maximum level.

Reward Split

All referral rewards are split evenly:

• 50% Yipii credit — applied directly to your Yipii IoT account, reducing your next invoice
• 50% gift card — a personal reward delivered to you by the Yipii team

This split ensures that you benefit both through reduced fleet tracking costs and a personal reward for your advocacy.

How Rewards Are Generated

Rewards are created automatically when a lead is marked as Won by the Yipii sales team. Here is the exact sequence:

1. Lead converts — The sales team confirms the referred business has been a paying customer for at least one month and marks the lead as Won. They enter the number of assets the new customer signed up for.
2. Tier is calculated — The system counts your total won referrals (including this new one) and determines your current tier.
3. Reward is calculated — The per-asset rate for your tier is multiplied by the referred account's asset count, with a €30 minimum floor. The total is split 50/50 between Yipii credit and gift card.
4. You are notified — You receive an email confirming the win and the reward details.

The reward appears in the Pending Rewards section of your referral dashboard immediately. It shows the lead name, reward amount, and tier at which it was earned.

Reward Statuses

You can see the status of every reward in your referral dashboard. The dashboard also shows aggregate values in the bottom tabs: total earned rewards value and total pending rewards value.

Tier Progress

Your referral dashboard displays a progress indicator showing how close you are to the next tier. This includes:

• Current tier — Marked with a "NOW" badge on the tier card
• Win count — Your total number of won referrals
• Progress message — Shows "X more wins to [next tier]" so you always know the gap
• Next tier threshold — The exact number of wins needed to reach the next level

For example, if you are a Scout with 2 wins, the progress message shows "1 more win to Connector". When you reach 3 wins, your tier upgrades to Connector and the message updates to show progress toward Champion.

At the Legend tier (15+ wins), the dashboard confirms you have reached the maximum tier — you are earning the highest possible reward per referral.
