Asset Command Center, live dashcams and recordings, smarter engine diagnostics, richer vehicle types, and more reliable real-time tracking.

Share

A big release: a brand-new Asset Command Center that puts everything about a single vehicle on one screen, a complete in-dashboard dashcam experience, smarter engine diagnostics, richer vehicle types, and a more reliable real-time tracking engine.

Asset Command Center

Everything about a vehicle, on one screen

Open any asset and you now land in the Asset Command Center — a single, no-scroll view that brings together live location, telemetry, trips, diagnostics, camera feeds, and AI insight without jumping between tabs. Switch between vehicles instantly with the inline asset selector in the header, which shows each vehicle's type, make, model, year, and photo.

Trip replay

Select any recent trip and watch it replay on the map as an animated breadcrumb, complete with a scrubber, a directional vehicle marker, and a speed chart that stays in sync as the playback moves. Trips are now fully interactive — click one to expand its stats and draw its trail directly on the map.

Live driving score and device health

A live Driving Score card breaks performance down into driving, eco, and harsh-event sub-scores, so you can see at a glance how a vehicle is being handled. Device-health chips in the header surface tracker status — connectivity, signal, and power — right where you need them.

Driver behaviour on the map

For accounts with the driver add-on, harsh-braking, harsh-acceleration, and other driver-behaviour events now appear as waypoints on both the trip list and the map replay, making it easy to pinpoint exactly where and when an event happened.

Yipster insight, grounded in real data

The Yipster AI assistant lives right inside the Command Center, offering a concise, plain-language insight about each vehicle's current health — and only flags a headline when there is a genuine, concrete issue to act on. You can open the chat drawer at any time to ask follow-up questions scoped to that specific vehicle.

Mobility data without leaving the page

A Mobility tab band brings read-only fleet-management data — service schedules, inspections, work orders, and more — straight into the Command Center, alongside quick actions for the most common tasks. No more switching applications to check a vehicle's maintenance status.

Live Dashcams & Recordings

Camera dashboard

A new Camera tab brings supported dashcams directly into the dashboard. View a live multi-camera grid, pick which channels to display, and keep an eye on your fleet's cameras in real time. Accounts without cameras see a simple upsell so they can learn what's available.

Recordings browser and playback

Browse, filter, and play back recorded footage from within the dashboard. An event timeline highlights moments of interest, while a fleet status panel gives you an at-a-glance view of which cameras are online and recording.

Remote camera configuration

Configure cameras remotely using reusable templates, push settings to individual devices, and track every change through a built-in audit log and push-status panel. You can now also fetch a camera's current live configuration on demand and compare it against your template with highlighted differences before saving.

Broader device support

This release adds support for additional camera models (including the CV200 alongside the CV5000), so more of your fleet can take advantage of in-dashboard video.

Smarter Engine Diagnostics

Diagnostic trouble codes, explained inline

Engine fault codes (DTCs) are now shown inline with a clear severity triage and actionable rows, so you can immediately tell the difference between a minor advisory and an issue that needs attention. Diagnostics read fault data directly from the vehicle for faster, more accurate results.

OBD and ELD temperature readings now display as trend sparklines, and the power card is collapsible to keep the view tidy. Spot a coolant or engine-temperature trend developing before it becomes a problem.

Richer Vehicle Types

Parent types and subtypes

Vehicle types now follow a clear two-level hierarchy — a parent type (such as Car, Truck, or Boat) with specific subtypes beneath it — each with its own icon. When adding or editing an asset, you pick the parent type first and then the precise subtype, and the right icon flows through to the tracking map, QR-code create flow, and bulk asset tools.

Curated, consistent catalogue

The vehicle-type catalogue has been unified into a single, curated set shared across the platform, so the types you see are consistent everywhere — on the map, in reports, and in your asset list.

More Reliable Real-Time Tracking

Faster offline detection

The tracking engine now detects when a vehicle goes offline more quickly and more accurately, with smarter handling of stale data so the map reflects reality sooner. Location updates are also persisted more reliably, so recent positions survive maintenance and restarts.

Steadier live connections

Behind the scenes, real-time connections are more resilient — fewer dropped connections, more dependable location streaming, and only genuine device messages are re-broadcast to viewers. The result is a smoother, more trustworthy live map.

Sign-In Improvements

Clearer, more resilient sessions

Failed logins now show a clear, human-readable message instead of a raw error, and expired sessions are handled gracefully across the whole dashboard — if your session ends, you're prompted to sign in again rather than hitting a dead page.
