Week of Apr 3 – 12, 2026
Driver management, role-based access controls, referral rewards redesign, inspection templates, fuel log improvements, performance.
A bumper release covering ten days — driver management gets a major upgrade, full role-based access controls are now enforced, the referral programme has been simplified, inspection template building is live, and fuel logs are more tightly integrated with your fleet data.
Driver Management
Convert users to drivers
You can now convert any user in your organisation to a driver directly from the user management page. Clicking "Convert to Driver" creates the driver profile, links it to the user account, and makes them available for vehicle assignment — all in a single action. Bulk conversion is also supported for setting up large teams quickly.
Tags and assignment history
Drivers now support tags for flexible categorisation — by team, shift, skill level, or any other grouping you need. A new Assignment History tab shows the full record of which vehicles each driver has been assigned to, including timestamps and who made the assignment.
Role-Based Access Controls
Full RBAC enforcement
All seven user roles (Admin, Fleet Manager, Office Staff, Reports Only, Mechanic, Inspector, Driver) are now fully enforced across the backend and frontend. Each role sees only the pages and actions they have permission to access — no more relying on hidden UI elements for access control.
Admin "View As"
Administrators can now preview the platform as any other role to verify what their team members see. This makes it easy to confirm that permissions are set up correctly without needing to log in as a different user.
Inspection Templates
Checklist builder
The inspection template builder is now live. Create custom inspection checklists with pass/fail items, text fields, photo requirements, and conditional logic. Templates can be assigned to specific asset types so your team always uses the right checklist for each vehicle.
Referral Rewards
Simplified reward structure
The Refer and Earn programme has been redesigned for simplicity. Every successful referral now earns a fixed per-asset commission, paid 50/50 as Yipii account credit and a gift card. No more choosing between different reward types — the system handles it automatically.
Clearer tier progression
The tier ladder now shows your per-asset rate at each level (Scout, Connector, Champion, Legend) with a visual progress bar toward the next tier. The minimum reward per referral is €50, ensuring that even smaller referrals are worthwhile.
Fuel Log Improvements
Extended fuel entry form
The fuel log entry form now includes a vendor dropdown, allowing you to track which fuel supplier was used for each fill. Additional fields for cost, quantity, and fuel type make your fuel records more complete.
Source tracking
Fuel entries now show a source badge indicating whether they were logged manually, automatically detected by the tracker, or imported from the IoT system. This makes it easy to distinguish between different data sources when reviewing your fuel history.
